Australian Alex De Minaur emerged as the victor in a thrilling match against Andy Murray at the Rolex Paris Masters. De Minaur defeated the British player with a score of 7-6(5), 4-6, 7-5.
After three hours and one minute, De Minaur secured his spot in the next round. He will now face either Duan Lajovic or Benjamin Bonzi.
In other matches, both No. 14 seed Frances Tiafoe and No. 15 seed Ben Shelton were eliminated from the tournament.
No. 16 seed Karen Khachanov advanced to the second round with a straight sets victory over Max Purcell.
Later on Monday, No. 9 seed Taylor Fritz, No. 12 seed Tommy Paul, and former three-time Grand Slam winner Stan Wawrinka are scheduled to compete.
Wawrinka will face former US Open winner Dominic Thiem.
