TENNIS CHANNEL’S T2 LAUNCHES ON AMAZON FREEVEE, FUBO
Viewers Can Watch Live Coverage of Tennis Players and Events Every Day – for Free
Increased Access to Matches featuring Novak Djokovic, Coco Gauff, and other US Open Champions
LOS ANGELES, Oct. 17, 2023 – Tennis Channel’s free ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) channel T2 is now accessible to Amazon Freevee viewers and subscribers of Fubo’s base Pro channel plan. This expansion significantly increases the number of viewers in the United States who can enjoy daily tennis coverage throughout the year, including live matches of top-ranked players and important tournaments in the sport.
T2, introduced in 2022, is Tennis Channel’s second television network, offering matches and original programming that is not available on its primary channel. With the abundance of professional tennis events happening each week, including multiple men’s and women’s tournaments, singles, doubles, and mixed matches, and action happening on various courts all day, T2 stands out as an unparalleled FAST channel that brings high-level live competition from one of America’s most popular sports. This includes matches featuring tennis superstars such as Novak Djokovic and Coco Gauff, who have both won the US Open. Since its launch, T2 has broadcasted more live tennis coverage to US audiences per year than ever before on television.
Fubo is a sports-first cable TV replacement service that aggregates over 300 live sports, news, and entertainment networks. It is the only live TV streaming platform that includes every Nielsen-rated sports channel. In addition to tennis and other sports coverage, Fubo also streams popular live entertainment and news programming and provides access to over 40,000 on-demand TV shows and movies each month.
“We are thrilled to collaborate with Amazon Freevee and Fubo to bring live tennis action to millions of tennis fans year-round,” said Lee Schlazer, Senior Vice President of Distribution at Sinclair and Tennis Channel. “Never before have so many Americans had the opportunity to watch the best tennis matches and players in the world every day. We are excited to expand our availability to Freevee and Fubo.”
T2 broadcasts different live matches from almost all of the tournaments shown on Tennis Channel throughout the year. Some of these tournaments in 2023 included the French Open (Roland Garros), the BNP Paribas Open, Miami Open, Monte-Carlo Masters, Italian Open, Canadian Open, Davis Cup, and the Billie Jean King Cup.
T2 is also accessible for free on Samsung TV Plus and YouTube TV.
Amazon Freevee is a streaming video service that offers thousands of premium movies and TV shows, including originals, as well as free ad-supported (FAST) Channels. All FAST Channels available on Freevee can be accessed through the Freevee app, as well as on Fire TV and Prime Video.
